Benefits of Coconut Oil

There are many benefits to using coconut oil! Similarly, there are many different ways it can be utilized. For example, you can apply it topically, you can cook with it, or you can use it in DIY body lotions, scrubs etc. Coconut oil has become increasingly popular in the past few years and I am a huge proponent of using this amazing substance!

I like to use coconut oil in lieu of butter in many recipes, or as a non-stick cook spray, and I always keep a jar of hardened coconut oil on hand to use as a natural moisturizer!

Some that I left out include: Coconut oil helps convert bad cholesterols into good cholesterols, it may help with stress relief, weight loss, diabetes (may improve insulin sensitivity and glucose tolerance), may help alleviate gallbladder disease or Crohn’s disease, help with anti-aging, and is one of the best ways to provide nutrients to your hair! Yes girls, apply coconut oil to those roots! The fatty acids in the oil will deeply condition from the insides of the strands out.
