Healthy 5 Ingredient Flourless Banana Bread

Gluten has been a hot topic recently. Many people have gluten sensitivities, Celiac disease, and other digestive problems. There is much debate going on as to whether or not gluten really is the culprit and the root cause of these problems. I am not a gastroenterologist or a gluten specialist, but what I do know from my own personal experience, is that over-consumption of gluten causes me to feel bloated, fatigued and an overall lethargy that I can’t shake.

All of those symptoms are alleviated when I eat more fruits, veggies, lean meats and less dairy and gluten. This may not be the case for everyone, but it is for me. As a result, I have become increasingly interested in recipes that have less gluten.

This recipe is a simple 5 ingredient flourless banana bread. It is quick and easy to make, and totally scrumptious.


Healthy 5 Ingredient Flourless Banana Bread


  • 3 medium ripe bananas
  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 9×5-inch loaf pan with coconut oil and set aside.
  2. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and well combined. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4.  Let loaf cool completely in loaf pan.
  5. Store bread in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  6. Enjoy with a glass of milk or orange juice in the morning! YUM!
